Course Rules, Registration
Q: What is the timeframe for completing an online course?
A: Students have a strict 30-day course completion window starting from the initial date of enrollment to successfully complete all required modules, assignments, and quizzes. For blended courses, the online portion must be completed within 30 days of registration, whereas the in-person classroom portion can exceed that timeline.
Q: My course requires a presentation; do I have to present in person?
A: As of right now, yes. If your chosen certification track mandates a formal presentation or a practical evaluation, it must be performed live and in person. We are actively working on developing alternative remote verification methods for the near future, but in-person attendance is strictly required at this time.
Q: What happens if I fail a course or quiz?
A: Our program allows students to retake module quizzes to achieve a passing score. However, final exams and practical evaluations are subject to strict Florida Bureau of Fire Standards and Training guidelines regarding remediation and re-testing limits. If a student fails to meet the passing scores of a course a student must retake the course.
Q: How do I register for an in-person course offering?
A: To register, navigate to our main student platform and browse the Course Calendar under the Course Events section. If the class is a strict in-person course offering, you will be prompted to select your preferred attendance date and location directly upon registering for the course.
Q: Can I switch from an online course to an in-person course?
A: Courses are either strictly online or in-person, meeting the requirements set by the Florida Bureau of Fire Standards and Training guidelines.
